Buccaneers Super Bowl 59 odds (Tampa Bay massively disrespected after 2023’s success)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could be one of the best values to win the Super Bowl next season after being disrespected in the opening odds.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had one of the most impressive seasons in the entire NFL in the 2023 campaign, winning the NFC South after being projected to finish with one of the worst records in the NFL.

Former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield resurrected his career with the Bucs, and the team upset the Philadelphia Eagles in the playoffs to advance to the divisional round, where it ended up losing to the Detroit Lions.

It’s hard to argue that the 2023 season was anything but a resounding success for the Bucs, but the team has some work to do this offseason to make sure it can keep things going. Mayfield, Mike Evans, Lavonte David, and others are all free agents this offseason.

Could that be a reason to pump the brakes on the Bucs hype in the 2024 season? It seems like oddsmakers feel that way, placing the Bucs at +7000 to win the Super Bowl, even though they were one of the final eight teams standing in the league last season.

Here’s a look at the latest odds and why the Bucs may be a value bet at their current price:

Buccaneers’ odds to win Super Bowl in 2025

The Buccaneers’ odds are a little shocking considering the Atlanta Falcons are sitting at +3500 (half the price of Tampa Bay) to win the Super Bowl next season.

Oddsmakers are banking on the Falcons upgrading their quarterback room, as the duo of Desmond Ridder and Taylor Heinicke doomed the team’s chances of making the playoffs last season.

Tampa Bay has the second-best odds among NFC South teams, but the team is just 10th amongst all teams in the NFC, starting behind the Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, and Chicago Bears in the opening odds to win Super Bowl 59.

Should Bucs fans and bettors jump on this price to take advantage? It could be a smart move, but there is some inherent risk involved.

Tampa Bay could lose a few key players this offseason, and even if Mayfield comes back, the Bucs lost offensive coordinator Dave Canales. He took the Carolina Panthers head coaching job.

Still, this number feels insanely low for the Buccaneers after their success last season. The team could also be a value to win the NFC South once those odds are released.
