Winner: The Run Game

Do not adjust your sets, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers indeed had a hugely successful day on the ground against the Falcons.

The Bucs finished the game with 148 rushing yards, with 102 belonging solely to Rachaad White. We already touched on how special White was against the Falcons but he wasn't the only member of the backfield to put his stamp on the win.

Chase Edmonds came into the game with 55 rushing yards on the season and finished the day by nearly matching that total in a single afternoon. He racked up 58 total yards -- 40 yards rushing and 18 yards on two receptions -- and was the perfect supplement to what White was doing on offense.

It wasn't the most outstanding day on the ground by league standards, but by Bucs standards, it was a watershed performance. The team has struggled to get anything going this year, as the rushing attack still ranks among the worst in the NFL despite some key changes being made.

On Sunday the Bucs averaged over four yards per carry, which is double where they've been at various points this season. Consistency has been an issue, so we'll have to wait and see what happens next week against the Packers, but for the first time all season we can count the run game among the things that helped lead the team to a win rather than something that stood in the way.
