How to watch Buccaneers vs. Lions in NFL Week 2 with & without cable
By Josh Hill
On Sunday afternoon, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will return to the place where their season ended last year. Seven months after losing in the NFC Divisional Round to the Detroit Lions, the Bucs will be back at Ford Field trying to exact some revenge.
It's not going to be an easy task though. Beyond the fact that the Lions once again look like one of the best teams in the NFC, Tampa Bay heads to Detroit down some key players, most notably Antoine Winfield Jr., who is expected to miss a few more weeks after this one.
Tampa Bay also lost cornerbacks Zyon McCollum, Josh Hayes, and Bryce Hall during Week 1's win over the Commanders which depletes an already shallow secondary.
One saving grace might be how well the offense played last Sunday. Bucs fans haven't seen an offense operate that efficiently in quite some time, and it was a sight for sore eyes. It also suggests that we could be in for a wild shootout in Detroit.
How to watch Buccaneers vs. Lions in NFL Week 2 with & without cable
Unlike the previous two meetings with the Lions, this one is not going to be on national television. In fact, only a fraction of the country will be able to tune into the action, with a loaded noon window of games and only CBS having a doubleheader.
How to watch Buccaneers vs Lions on TV
Fans in the immediate viewing areas in Tampa and Detroit will be able to catch the game on local FOX affiliates. This means fans in Tampa can tune into FOX 13, where Kevin Kugler and Daryl Johnston will be on the call -- their second straight week of calling a Buccaneers game.
For what it's worth, Bucs fans will get two CBS games: Jaguars-Browns at 1pm ET and Chiefs-Bengals in the late window. There will not be an afternoon game broadcast on FOX due to the blackout restrictions with CBS getting to double up.
How to stream Buccaneers vs Commanders without cable
With the game having such a small broadcast window, most fans will be able to stream the game using NFL Sunday Ticket. This is an out-of-market option only, though, so anyone in Tampa who doesn't have cable will need to go another route.
Fans who live in the immediate viewing will be able to use FOX Sports Go as an option but will have to be logged into their cable provider to get access. Fubo is also an option, but it requires a subscription to their service, which is the same deal for Hulu Live and other cable-adjacent options.
