So far this preseason the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have generally taken it easy on their starters. That's the reward for having the sort of season the team had last year when expectations were tremendously exceeded.

Rather than tank for a high draft pick or pick anywhere near the Top 10, the Bucs' season ended in the NFC Divisional Round, in which the foundation for the future was laid. Rachaad White was a big part of the team's turnaround last season, and the hope is that he'll continue to develop into a RB1 star for the Buccaneers.

He's not the only guy everyone is looking forward to seeing this year, though.

Even with the Bucs not having any high draft picks, Jason Licht added to the running back room in the fourth round by taking Oregon star Bucky Irving. It has created the potenital for a incredible one-two punch out of the backfield, but we've yet to see the duo in action together.

Is Rachaad White playing tonight?

The Buccaneers are back in action against the Jaguars, but don't expect to see much out of the starters -- if anything at all.

Todd Bowles didn't officially rule out the idea of starters playing in the first two preseason games, but did say that the third would be when we are guarunteed to see a drive or two with the on the field. Baker Mayfield suited up last week but didn't play, and that's the expecatation again this weekend when it comes to starters like White seeing action.

It's not out of the question, but the chances White plays are slim-to-none.

While that's a bummer, it gives us more chances to see Irving and the other running backs attempt to carve a place out on the roster for themselves. Ramon Jefferson was a name that popped up with some intrigue last weekend thanks to how well he performed late in the game, and there's a good chance we see more of him tonight.

Irving is the biggest name to watch, though, as he has a chance to potentially secure the RB2 role if he keeps up what he started last Saturday against the Bengals.
