It's been a topsy-turvy start to the season for the Buccaneers, with wins in the first two weeks getting soured a bit by what happened last Sunday against the Broncos.

Denver came into Tampa Bay and thumped the Bucs, scoring on two of the team's first three offensive drives, while Bo Nix was made to look like one of the best quarterbacks in the league. It was a pitiful performance, but it had the Bucs significantly short-handed.

Four key players missed the game, including Antoine Winfield Jr., Luke Goedeke, and Vita Vea. The Bucs were also without Calijah Kancey, who has yet to make his season debut. Jalen McMillan was added to the injury heap this week but things are finally starting to look up despite how grim they've seemed.

At the end of the day, the Bucs are still 2-1 and in a position to truly compete this season in ways they weren't getting credit. They can go a long way in proving they belong with another win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Perhaps the most notable thing about the game, in addition to he fact that the Bucs have a chance to prove themselves, is that Tom Brady is back in Tampa. He'll be on the call with FOX, and it's a perfect chance for him to channel his former team and prove himself in the booth amid a rough start to his tenure as a color analyst.
