Following their first round selection of Duke offensive lineman Graham Barton, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came into Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft with three picks to their name.
There was still plenty of talent on the board and with a few different areas they could go, Jason Licht and his staff made some truly rock-solid draft picks.
We're going to go through each of the three players that will be joining the Bucs to determine just what kind of player we got and of course, there will be a grade for each of them.

Chris Braswell - Round 2, Pick 57 - EDGE - Alabama
The Bucs lost Shaq Barrett this off-season and without a true alpha on the edge as their roster currently stands, this was a strong pick.
Yaya Diaby, a rookie last year, made some big strides down the stretch of the season but his raw talent is still clearly in the developmental phase. The same can be said of Joe Tryon-Shoyinka who has not taken his opportunity and run with it.
Braswell is 6'3 and 250 lbs so he projects as someone that needs to bulk a bit to be a true edge rusher. His explosive first step was one of his biggest strengths in college and his motor and effort are two things that will translate to the next level.
However, while his initial burst and rip moves are great, there is not a lot of tools in his bag. He will need to develop a trustworthy second and third option for the NFL offensive tackles.
He doesn't have the all-around game to be an instant starter, but his foundation is strong and Todd Bowles and his staff can coach him up, Braswell could turn into a real nice defensive piece.
Grade - B+
