While this has no doubt been an offseason of stress for Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans, Wedensday was a much needed day of fun. It wasn’t anything to do with players on the field, rather it revolved around something they’d be wearing once the action kicks off this season.

It was announced earlier this year that the Bucs would be bringing back their creamsicle throwback uniforms for a special game this season. We learned when the game was going to be when the schedule was released, but the uniform design was kept under wraps.

Until today.

On Wednesday morning the Buccaneers officially revealed their new throwback uniforms to be worn this season, and they’re absolutely gorgeous.

We knew this would be happening for a while, but the day finally arrived where we got to see what the Buccaneers creamsicle jersey will look like this season. Lavonte David teased earlier this offseason that the throwbacks would look better than the ones that were worn back in 2012 and it seems his prediction didn’t disappoint.

The Bucs updated the creamsicle to have a sleeker look, but retained all of the classic feel of the originals.

The Bucs will be wearing these beauties when they host the Detroit Lions on October 15th.

Buccaneers fans had been hotly anticipating the new creamsicle throwbacks ever since they were announced, and the response to seeing them seemed to be pretty positive.

It’s the first time since the 2012 season that the Buccaneers will be wearing their throwbacks. Fans were hoping that the throwbacks would make a return during the Tom Brady era, but he missed being able to be a part of the tradition by just one year. That hasn’t stopped the team from producing BRady creamsicles, as he’s among the Buccaneers legends like Lee Roy Selmon and Derrick Brooks who will be available for fans to get.

While Week 6 can’t get here fast enough, the uniforms are already on sale for fans to purchase.

Ordering online might take a minute in terms of the jersey actually getting to you, but anyone who is in the Tampa area can swing by the Bucs official team store all day on Wednesday to snag any that are still in stock.
