Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2023 season betting preview: Super Bowl odds, win total prediction, prop bets and more
Fans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers enjoyed a few seasons with the GOAT, Tom Brady, as their quarterback.
Unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end and with Brady now retired, the Bucs are seemingly starting over. Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask will battle it out for the starting quarterback role.
If you want my best bet for the Buccaneers this season, check out my "32 bets for all 32 teams" article, which you can read here.
In this article, we're going to go through the full list of available betting odds for the Bucs for the upcoming season. Let's dive into it.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl 58 odds
I'm going to go ahead and tell you to save your money betting on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win the Super Bowl. This season is about starting the rebuilding process. Even if they exceed expectations, winning the NFC South or making the playoffs is the best they can hope for.
At +7500, the Buccaneers have an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 1.32%. Even that might be pretty generous, to be honest. If you choose to ignore me and bet on the Buccaneers regardless, you'd win $7,500 profit on a $100 bet if they're able to pull off the improbable.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers win total prediction for the 2023 season
As I wrote about my " best bets for all 32 teams" article, I actually think a 6.5 win total isn't giving this team enough credit:
"I have more belief in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers than most people. Just because they lost an aging Tom Brady doesn’t mean they’re going to go from one of the best teams in the NFC to one of the worst. Sure, they won’t be as good, but I think they can reach seven wins.
"Let’s still remember this team has some top tier talent at wide receiver and an above average defense that can bail out an underperforming offense.
"I’ll take the OVER on their win total in 2023."
Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds to win the NFC South
Even though the general consensus is that the NFC South is the worst division in football, oddsmakers still aren't giving the Bucs much of a chance to win it. At +750, they have an implied probability of 11.76% of being crowned division champions.
If they pull it off, a $100 bet would win you a profit of $750.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds to make the playoffs
The Buccaneers made the playoffs in all three seasons with Tom Brady is their quarterback, but before he arrived they hadn't made the playoffs since 2007. Unfortunately, it looks like a new non-playoff streak may start for Tampa Bay this season.
They still have a chance in a relatively weak NFC. +360 odds give them an implied probability of 21.74% of making the postseason. It's worth noting they have by far the toughest schedule amongst NFC South teams. The Saints, Falcons, and Panthers have three of the four easiest schedules in the NFL. The Buccaneers' schedule ranks 17th in terms of difficulty.
Best Tampa Bay Buccaneers season-long prop bet
Caliaj Kancey Defensive Rookie of the Year
There aren't many opportunities to bet on Buccaneers players to lead the NFL in any stat or win any awards this season. Likely the best option is for their rookie defensive tackle, Calijah Kancey, to win Defensive Rookie of the Year. He was selected 19th overall out of Pittsburgh.
It's not unheard of for a defensive tackle to win Defensive Rookie of the Year. In fact, back-to-back defensive tackles won it in 2013 and 2014 when Sheldon Richardson and Aaron Donald were named the winners.
