With their final pick in the draft, the Bucs go after a cornerback. And, allow me to just say this: waiting on cornerback until this late also assumes the Bucs have made a move at the position in free agency. This is a spot that is hurting, big time.

Pittsburgh's M.J. Devonshire is a great dart throw late in the draft, though, and could wind up revealing tremendous value. For a seventh rounder, Devonshire comes with quite the pedigree.

He finished the 2023 season allowing just over 47 percent completion to opposing quarterbacks while leading the Pittsburgh defense in total snaps played (662). He had an all-around productive season, totaling four interceptions and 10 pass breakups, even taking back one of those picks to the house for a score.

At 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, he has average size but reads well in zone coverage, especially. His burst and athleticism make him moldable at the NFL level.
