4 free agents Tampa Bay Buccaneers need to bring back this offseason
By Ryan Heckman
4. Mike Evans, WR
If we're going to see Baker return to Tampa Bay, then we better see Mike Evans continue his career in a Bucs uniform. These two were in sync all season long. Evans has had several quarterbacks over the years, but the natural connection between he and Evans didn't take long to lock in.
Evans, of course, has done nothing but produce 1,000-yard seasons since entering the league. He's never finished under that number as long as he's been in the NFL. Bucs fans know this well by now. Evans is a sure fire, first ballot Hall of Famer. There is zero question about it.
But, that moment might not come for quite some time for the stud wideout. Evans is only 30 years old and looks as good as he's ever looked. He isn't slowing down anytime soon, and if Tampa Bay can lock Mayfield down for a few years, there is no reason why they can't do the same for Evans, keeping these two together for the foreseeable future.
In 2023, Evans finished with the most receiving yards (1,255) he's had since the 2018 campaign and tied for the second-most touchdown receptions he's had during his career (13).
