1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1)
It should be no surprise to see the Bucs at no. 1 on these power rankings after being the only team to secure a victory in Week 4. Not to mention, Tampa did it in a convincing manner. Baker Mayfield was outstanding in this one, throwing for 246 yards, three touchdowns and a pick on 25-of-32 passing.
We already touched on how ineffective New Orleans was on offense, but the Bucs defense deserves some credit. After all, the Bucs forced three turnovers and took advantage.
Tampa was even able to run the ball somewhat well overall, rushing for 114 yards with a handful of chunk runs here and there.
Another bright spot for the Bucs was seeing Chris Godwin get so much involvement, although the majority of it did come after the injury to Mike Evans. Speaking of Evans, the length of which Evans will be out is still not necessarily known at this point. But, as the Bucs go into their early bye in Week 5, it will give Evans some extra free time to heal up.
The Bucs' offense is still in the bottom half of the league, while their defense is in the middle of the pack, begging the question of whether or not the early stages of the season have been more of a mirage than anything.
