Baker Mayfield, Bucs
In Week 2, the Bucs will host the 0-1 Chicago Bears who are coming off an embarrassing loss to their divisional rival, the Green Bay Packers. Chicago's defense allowed 31 points (one touchdown was scored on defense for the Packers) and a total of 329 yards of offense.
When it came to the quarterback position, Jordan Love threw for 245 yards and three scores, with zero interceptions and no fumbles. He played as close to perfect as you could get.
Last year, the Bears' defense was one of the worst in the league, but they added a lot of pieces over the offseason to try and fix it. However, the Packers put on a show that seemed to prove the Bears have a whole lot more work to do. Chicago will also be without starting nickel corner Kyler Gordon, who was looking like a breakout candidate this year.
Against the Vikings in Week 1, Mayfield threw for 173 yards, two touchdowns and a pick. In this one, he'll likely find more success.
Prediction for Mayfield: 24-of-35 passing, 261 yards, three touchdowns and one interception
As an added bonus, we're predicting the Bucs to go out and make it 2-0 on the season, staying atop the NFC South with Baker and company flying high into Week 3.
