Is Baker Mayfield, in fact, the answer? If not, who is?

QB No. 2 to avoid: Bo Nix, Oregon, 2024 NFL Draft

Finally, we come to the second quarterback the Bucs should avoid next offseason, and he comes in as a first-round prospect in next year's draft. Oregon's Bo Nix has had an impressive couple of years at Oregon after transferring from Auburn, launching himself firmly into the Round 1 conversation in April.

This last season, Nix threw for 4,145 yards, 40 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He's also run for over 700 yards and 20 touchdowns in his two years with the Ducks.

Although Nix has nimble feet and offers the Bucs an underrated dual-threat quarterback option, he also comes with one major worry. It seems crazy to try and avoid a guy with the types of numbers listed above, but Nix's fatal flaw will hurt him in the NFL, and it's the fact that he tends to sense pressure when it's not there.

Many of his scouting reports will go to show that he has the tendency to "see ghosts" when it comes to the opposing pass rush. That's kind of ironic, too, right after we discussed Sam Darnold -- if you don't get that reference, take a look here. In any event, the Bucs should avoid a young quarterback who might not be able to differentiate between real pressure and what's not actually there.
