Ranking the Top 5 Buccaneers running backs of all time
By Ryan Heckman
3. Warrick Dunn
From 1997 to when he retired after the 2008 campaign, Warrick Dunn spent every season with either the Bucs or their now-NFC South rival Atlanta Falcons. Over the course of his career, Dunn went over the 1,000-yard mark five times, two of them coming in Tampa.
He also earned Pro Bowl honors on three occasions, twice with the Bucs and one coming in that rookie season back in '97. Sitting third all-time on the Bucs' rushing list with 4,986 yards and 19 touchdowns, Dunn became one of the more well-rounded backs in football in a hurry.
Not only was he a stout rusher, but Dunn could catch the football. He sits 17th all-time in Bucs receiving yards with 2,704 to go with nine touchdown receptions. Dunn used elite speed as his greatest strength, being one of the faster players in all of football for the majority of his career.
After he spent six seasons with the Falcons, it was only right that Dunn returned to the Bucs to spend a sixth season with Tampa before he saw his career come to an end.
