After a once-promising 3-1 start to the season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have dropped three in a row and sit at 3-4 following a Thursday Night Football disappointment against Buffalo.
While they are not necessarily out of it by any means, the Bucs clearly have problems, and many of them are the same problems they had a season ago. Under Todd Bowles, the Bucs' issues remain the same.
If you check Bucs Twitter recently, fans have had enough. Bowles needs to go, and whether he's fired in-season or following this season, there are some great candidates to replace him. Let's look at five of them and how they'd affect this team.
1. Anthony Weaver, Associate Head Coach/Defensive Line, Baltimore Ravens
Former players have made excellent coordinators in today's NFL, and some have even gotten the chance at a head coaching gig. Anthony Weaver is a former player who now coaches the Baltimore Ravens defensive line as well as taking on the title of Associate Head Coach.
Baltimore's defensive line has been among the best in the league this year and the Ravens lead the league in sacks with 29. Weaver has done a great job in that category the last couple of years with the Ravens and, having learned from one of the best coaches in the league, he could be on his way to earning a head coaching gig.
Weaver also has a background in coordinating the Ravens' run game, which has been one of the best in the NFL the past couple of seasons as well.
