3. Brian Johnson, Offensive Coordinator, Philadelphia Eagles
Unlike McCown, Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson is a whole lot more groomed and ready to take on the role of a head coach. For the past few seasons, he has been helping in the development of quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is coming off an offseason that saw him sign a mega extension.
To this point in the season, the Eagles offense is no. 3 in the NFL in yards per game as well as scoring. They are also fifth in rushing, which is notable considering the Bucs have had such a hard time running the ball this season.
Again, the Bucs would like to have their franchise quarterback figured out as soon as possible, especially with a hire like Johnson. Of course, they likely won't end with a record that could get them either Caleb Williams or Drake Maye. They'd have to trade a huge haul of picks to move up and select one of them, but it could be well-worth it with a hire like Johnson.
If the Eagles continue their success this season, Johnson is surely to get some looks as a head coaching candidate during the offseason. Could Tampa Bay be one of them?
