5. Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals
Finally, let's talk about the Arizona Cardinals, who could also be landing a top-5 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Since handing Kyler Murray an extension, we've heard more whispers about possibilities of the team moving on than we have faith in Murray as the team's franchise quarterback.
Returning from an ACL injury just a week and a half ago, Murray has looked very similar to the player he was pre-injury. It's obviously going to take a bit before he's consistently that same guy, but Murray has already put up some highlight-level type of plays in just two games.
The mobility seems to be there, still. The arm is still there. Murray is going to be just fine, and if the Cardinals opt to go the rookie quarterback route and reset the clock while clearing some money, then the Bucs should be in on that sweepstakes as well.
Between Murray and Fields, Tampa Bay could wind up with a much better quarterback situation than anyone would have anticipated. Getting this offense a guy who is a threat with his legs could really change things for this offense.
It would help open things up for Rachaad White, who has been much better in the passing game than he has as a runner. It would open even more possibilities for the offense to take those "nothing" plays and turn them into something. To be fair, Baker Mayfield has been able to do that at times this year. But, Murray's legs are a whole different beast.
