It's hard to believe we're halfway through the NFL offseason. Free agency and the Draft are behind us, minicamp and OTAs are over, and before we know it the regular season is going to be here.

Before that happens, though, we'll need to get through training camp.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had an eventful offseason, even if they're getting counted out for not doing enough. It's the splashy moves the team didn't make that they're getting penalized for, as the front office spent most of free agency bringing back key players like Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans.

A seemingly solid rookie class will also be at training camp, looking to find ways to make an impact and follow in the footsteps of guys who joined the team last season. Teams will have the next month off to relax and rest up, but the league has already announced when everyone will be expected to come back to work.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp dates announced for rookies and veterans

Buccaneers rookies will report to AdventHealth Training Center on July 22nd, with everyone else showing up a day later. These are just the report dates, as specific practice times haven't been announced and veterans are free to show up early if they'd like.

The big question -- one looming larger than we all thought -- is whether everyone will in fact show up for training camp. Tristan Wirfs sat out OTAs to let the Bucs know he wants a new deal now, and there's a chance he at least partially holds out to keep sending a message.

Randy Gregory is the name to circle, though. He skipped all three days of mandatory minicamp this month with an unexcused absence. Nobody actually knows why he didn't show up, although it's not hard to see his recent lawsuit against the NFL and the Denver Broncos as a potential reason.

Whatever is going on, Gregory has already painted himself in a bad light in the eyes of many. Pewter Report's Scott Reynolds openly wondered if the relationship is already over, and the less time Gregory spends with the team the more likely it is he gets pushed out by younger players.

There's plenty of time for things to all work out, but there's going to be more than a few reasons to keep an eye on Buccaneers training camp this offseason.
