After a month of getting settled back into the flow of things, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have reached the end of the preseason. There are still two weeks to go before the regular season kicks off, but the Bucs final game action before then will be Saturday night against the Baltimore Ravens.

Baltimore heads to Tampa Bay on the heels of its first preseason loss in 24 games, with Washington having ended a streak that began all the way back in 2015. Usually, this sort of thing would be a factor in how hard the Ravens play, but it's the preseason and even John Harbaugh tried to downplay the significance -- or lack thereof -- the streak held.

What matters on Saturday has more to do with how players on the roster bubble use their last opportunity to prove they deserve a roster spot. A handful of Bucs players have seemingly played themselves out of a job so far this preseason, meaning the game against Baltimore is critical to either earning a job with the Bucs or giving sufficient game film to convince another team around the league to take a chance on them.

It will also be the Bucs first game this year without the cloud of a quarterback battle hanging over it.

Who is the starting quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week?

The biggest news of the week was the answer to the biggest question of the offseason. Baker Mayfield was named the Bucs starting quarterback for Week 1, which presumably means he's going to see some action on Saturday against the Ravens.

Mayfield didn't play at all in Tampa Bay's second preseason game against the Jets. Kyle Trask started the game and then came back in during the third quarter after John Wolford suffered a neck injury. After the game Todd Bowles said that Mayfield was supposed to have played but he decided to keep rolling with Trask rather than handing things over.

That would seem to indicate Mayfield will get the start on Saturday and get one final tune up before he makes his official debut with the Bucs in Minnesota. Bowles said last Saturday that he expects everyone to play in the preseason finale, which further suggests we'll get a heavy dose of Mayfield.

What channel is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game on tonight? (August 26th)

Once again the Buccaneers aren't getting a national television slot. Networks like FOX, ESPN, and even Amazon Prime have been scheduling games to help give their broadcast teams some practice before the season begins, but the Bucs didn't make it onto any of those schedules.

If last week's game against the Jets -- which had the slim possibility of Aaron Rodgers playing -- couldn't get them on national television than not much else will. That means tonight's game will be a regional broadcast only, with NFL+ being an option for out-of-market fans looking to catch the action.
