What channel is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game on tonight? How to watch Bucs vs. Falcons in Week 5
By Josh Hill
It’s been an excellent start to the season not only for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but the entire NFC South.
A division that is usually trolled by the national media for being a motley crew of bad teams, the Bucs and Falcons meet in primetime on Thursday night with first place on the line. Tampa Bay is off to a 3-1 start, and is coming off a blowout win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
That win pairs well with a Week 1 destruction of Jayden Daniels and the Commanders as well as a statement victory on the road in Detroit a week later. The Bucs laid a total dud against Denver two weeks ago, but what we saw out of them a few days ago feels more along the lines of what we’ve come to expect out of the team.
Atlanta is off to a pretty hot start as well. While the Falcons are 2-2, they have a nice win over the Saints in their back pocket and played the Kansas City Chiefs hard a week prior. Raheem Morris is familiar to millions of Bucs fans, and getting some revenge against his old team in his first matchup against them as a rival head coach is serving as extra motivation.
Tampa Bay looks like the better team, but we’ve seen them lose games like this before. The Bucs split with Atlanta last season, but the last time they were in Mercedes Benz Stadium they left with a win and here’s to hoping that happens again.
Buccaneers vs. Falcons TV channel for TNF
Yes, there is a way for fans to watch the game without Amazon Prime, but we’ll get to that in a second. Regardless of how you’re watching the game, the information on when to catch the action remains the same:
- Date: Thursday, October 3, 2024
- Start Time: 8:15 pm ET
- Location: Mercedes Benz Stadium | Atlanta, GA
- TV Channel: Amazon Prime (Nationally)
- Announcers: Al Michaels, Kirk Herbstriet
- Live Stream: Amazon Prime | Fubo (Locally)
- Radio: WXTB 97.9 FM | More Radio Affiliates
While the game is being streamed on Amazon Prime for most of the country, not everyone will have to be subscribed to catch the action. Fans outside of the Tampa area can only watch through Amazon, as NFL Sunday Ticket is not available for this game.
Anyone inside of the Tampa viewing area, though, is in luck.
Thanks to NFL regulations, local markets are required to carry the game so that fans aren’t blacked out. Bucs fans can tune into FOX 13 to watch the game, which means you don’t have to be subscribed to Amazon Prime Video to watch tonight.
Any other game on the Thursday Night Football slate will require a subscription, but the only game that matters is tonight and that one will be free for viewers in Tampa. The same deal goes for Falcons fans in Atlanta, as the game will be broadcast on FOX 5 locally.
