The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lives just got a lot harder entering the 2026 season after the New Orleans Saints nailed their first-round draft pick
The New Orleans Saints were a rising team last season. They seem to have finally found their quarterback in Tyler Shough. Wide receiver Chris Olave finally had his breakout and earned All-Pro honors.
The future is bright in New Orleans, and it just got even brighter as they hit an absolute home run with their first-round draft pick.
Saints draft WR Jordyn Tyson at No. 8 overall in 2026 NFL Draft
Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson was widely viewed as the best wide receiver in the draft class.
The only real concern with him as a prospect was his injury history, as he missed 17 out of 51 games, or one out of every three games in his college career.
But when healthy, Tyson was a problem for opposing defenses. He had 158 receptions for 2,282 yards and 22 touchdowns. His ability as a route runner but also his prowess in contested catch situations make him a dangerous weapon.
The Saints are quietly putting together a really formidable roster, especially on offense, with Tyson joining Olave to form a truly potent wide receiver duo. They have a young offensive-minded head coach in Kellen Moore, and if Shough can continue tobuild on his strong rookie season, the Saints could be a real threat in the NFC South and a thorn in the Bucs' sides for years to come.
