The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made some waves after the NFL Draft by signing the most high-profile of all the undrafted free agent players in Shilo Sanders.

As the son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders and the brother of Shedeur Sanders, the Bucs new safety commands a ton of attention. But since arriving in Tampa Bay, he’s already proven that he offers far more than just name value.

Shilo Sanders has made all the right moves during Buccaneers Rookie Minicamp

Since the first day of Rookie Minicamp, Sanders has kept his head down and been one of the hardest workers.

True to his confident nature, he has been extremely vocal and communicative on the field right from the start—and he’s backing up his talk with solid play, which has helped him stand out.

His next mission, after turning heads on the practice field, was to get in the good graces of the veteran Bucs players at the safety position.

“I’m already preparing on Sunday to get in the safety group chat for all the snacks. I’m going to be the snack guy,” said Sanders at his press conference. “I’ve got to make sure the vets are good, you know what I’m saying? They’ve really been helping me and teaching me a lot of stuff.”

Sanders' instinct to step up as a rookie and serve the veteran leaders is a wise move, one he might’ve learned from his father. It will certainly make him some friends in the position room, and build chemistry, which are the small details that could be the difference in making the roster for an undrafted player like Sanders.

Shilo Sanders is even winning over the local media

During his introductory press conference with the Buccaneers, Sanders started things off on the right foot with the reporters by introducing himself and shaking the hand of every media member.

After his introduction, Sanders went on to say all the right things in his press conference. that will get the organization and fanbase excited

“The Bucs were the first team to call, and they gave me a chance before anyone. So I’m forever grateful to the Buccaneers,” said Sanders at his press conference. “I’m going to do everything I can to help this team win. Everything in my power…”

Sanders was already one of the most likely undrafted free agents to carve out a spot on the Buccaneers' final roster due to the current lack of depth at the safety position.

His strong first impression at rookie minicamp was an ideal step towards that goal, and if he can continue that caliber of performance when the pads come on later this offseason, expect to see him sticking around and wearing red and pewter on Sundays.
