Tampa Bay Buccaneers inactives list for Week 6 game vs. Saints
By Josh Hill
As bad as things went last week for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this Sunday provides a chance to get everything back on track.
To be fair, things aren't even really that off track, as the Bucs are 3-2 and were one or two bad breaks away from having Thursday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons go differently. Had Jamel Dean laid on Drake London for half a second, or Bucky Irving not fumbled -- or had his facemask ripped down -- the Bucs likely come away with a win.
We're only five games into the season and the Bucs look better than they did last year. Baker Mayfield and the offense are humming along better than ever, and a defense that has been ravaged by injuries is about to get some major boosts right when it needs it the most.

Tampa Bay is getting two key players back: Luke Goedeke and Calijah Kancey. Both were cleared to play when the Bucs released their final injury report, and they're expected to be joined by Antoine Winfield Jr., who has missed every game other than Week 1.
It's impossible to overstate how huge getting Winfield back is, as his absence was likely one of the biggests reasons last week's game slipped away from Tampa Bay defensively. He returns for a huge matchup, one that will see him face a rookie quarterback in Spencer Rattler.
Not everyone will be healthy enough to suit up, though.
Player | Position | Injury |
---|---|---|
Graham Barton | C | Hamstring |
Christian Izien | CB | Elbow |
Kameron Johnson | WR | Ankle |
Trey Palmer | WR | Concussion |
Rachaad White | RB | Foot |
Devin Culp | TE | Healthy Scratch |
Getting Goedeke back but losing Barton is a tough trade, but it's one that Robert Hainsey is going to try and help smooth out. Rachaad White's injury means that Bucky Irving is in line for a huge workload, one that gives him a chance to further showcase his value to the backfield.
Jalen McMillan missed last week's game, but is set to return at a time when things are getting thin in the wide receiver room. Kam Johnson and Trey Palmer are both down, which meant the Bucs needed to elevate Ryan Miller to add some extra depth.
