Cam Jordan has a history of downplaying the Bucs-Saints rivalry while simultaneously taking shots at Tampa Bay every chance he gets.
He most infamously predicted that Tampa Bay would return to "where Tampa Bay has been," after Tom Brady's retirement, implying that the Bucs would return to the cellar of the NFC South. Instead, the Bucs have reached the postseason in three of four seasons post-Brady while the Saints are the team that has lived in the division basement, failing to make a playoff appearance since Drew Brees retired after the 2020 season.
Even general manager Jason Licht has kept the receipts, and posted Jordan's embarrassing prediction to social media after the Bucs defeated the Saints 23-3 during the 2025 season.

In his latest stunt, Jordan took a shot at Bucs All-Pro left tackle Tristan Wirfs in an appearance on the Why is Draymond Green talking about Football with Jordan Schultz podcast. After declaring that offensive linemen aren't athletic, Schultz, an NFL Insider at Fox Sports, argued that Wirfs is an example of a lineman who is in fact athletic.
Cam Jordan: “The offensive linemen they say are athletic…no they’re not.”

On Tristan Wirfs: “He’s fat as hell. Shoutout to Tristan Wirfs for being a hell of an offensive tackle.”

"He's fat as hell. Stop. Shoutout to Tristan Wirfs for being a hell of an offensive tackle," Jordan said.
Wirfs is objectively one of the NFL's most athletic offensive linemen. During the draft process, he went viral for pulling off the nearly impossible feat of jumping out of a pool at 322 pounds,

Wirfs posted a historically impressive performance at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine, demonstrating generational athleticism for his position. His 4.85-second 40-yard dash was the fastest among players at his position, and despite weighing 30 pounds more than Jordan, his time was comparable to Jordan’s 4.78 seconds.
His vertical jump set a new modern record for offensive linemen, while his broad jump tied the all-time mark for the position. Both numbers surpassed what Jordan recorded at his combine.
Tristan Wirfs fires back at Cam Jordan
Wirfs is no stranger to Jordan's antics and took to social media to respond to his comments with the perfect two-word response.

"Rent free," Wirfs posted, with a picture of himself embedded in Jordan's brain.
Perhaps Jordan's frustration originates from his lack of production against Wirfs and the Buccaneers. Jordan hasn't recorded a sack against Tampa Bay and Wirfs since back in 2021. Since coming into the league in 2020, Wirfs has had Jordan's number and dominated him in their head-to-head matchups, allowing just one sack in six seasons.
Jordan is an impending free agent this offseason, but he has expressed his desire to return to New Orleans where he's played the entirety of his career. Assuming the team brings him back, Wirfs will now have an extra chip on his shoulder when the two face off next season.
