Watch Deion Sanders break news of Shilo Sanders joining Buccaneers live on Twitch

Of course this is how the news got shared.

For the second time in three years, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are signing the son of a former Super Bowl champion. Kade Warner was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2023, but Kurt Warner's son didn't end up making the final roster.

Things could be a little different this time around, or at the very least they'll be a little flashier.

As part of the Bucs' incoming class of UDFA signings this year, Tampa Bay added Colorado safety Shilo Sanders -- brother of Shedeur, son of Deion.

If that sounds Games of Thrones-ish, it's because the Bucs just dipped their toe into the pool of football royalty. We'll see if it ends up working out, but Tampa Bay is in the Sanders' business now and hopefully it starts booming.

Anyone worried that Shedeur's historic free fall in the NFL Draft would have sanded off some of the bravado edges on the Sanders family needs to look no further than how they revealed Shilo was joining the Bucs.

Shilo Sanders announced he was signings with the Buccaneers on a Twitch live stream, because of course

Not long after the draft ended, Shilo signed a UDFA deal with the Buccaneers. Of course, Deion was there to help him and the whole thing was live streamed on Twitch. Love him or hate him for how everything has gone down at Colorado, it's hard to not feel the vibes and get a little drawn in by them.

Check it out:

Sorry, I'm now the world's biggest Shilo Sanders defender. Just like when Tom Brady joined the Bucs and we all did a hard 180 pivot on hating him, the Sanders family is now shielded from any criticism other than what happens on the field -- for now.

There's a decent chance we will get to see Shilo on the field for the Bucs next season. Safety was one of the positions Tampa Bay needed to address but it wasn't high enough on the list of priorities to warrant a pick in the draft.

Instead, the Bucs doubled up on cornerbacks, edge rushers, and wide receivers while leaving things like defensive line and safety to be addressed after. It's not a bad thing, either, as we've watched Jason Licht cook up incredible classes of undrafted free agents in years past, which bodes well for Sanders making an impact.
