The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take on the Cleveland Browns at Raymond James Stadium today for their home opener.

It’s arguably the most anticipated matchup on the Bucs’ schedule as quarterback Baker Mayfield faces his former team in a game he admits has been circled on his calendar. He’ll go head-to-head with Deshaun Watson, the same quarterback who Cleveland discarded Mayfield for.

  • Weather: According to AccuWeather.com, it’s shaping up to be a hot, overcast afternoon in Tampa. At 1 p.m. kickoff it’s forecasted to be 87 degrees under mostly cloudy skies with a heat index of a blazing 95 degrees. Forecasts throughout the week suggested the home opener could be impacted by scattered thunderstorms, but it’s now looking like the rain will hold off until later in the evening.

Both teams enter Week 2 almost fully healthy. 

For the Buccaneers, WR Jalen McMillan (knee), CB Jacob Parrish (back), and S Miles Killebrew (concussion) are all questionable. 

For the Browns, CB Tyson Campbell (ankle) is questionable. OG Teven Jenkins (back) is out.

The Buccaneers' season opener on Sunday afternoon against the Bengals will air locally on CBS. 

Tom McCarthy will be on play-by-play, Robert Turbin will serve as the analyst and Tiffany Blackmon will report from the sidelines.
