Buccaneers wide receiver DeSean Jackson is impressing his new teammates with his talent.

How excited were we when we found out that DeSean Jackson was the newest (at the time) member of the Buccaneers? I think there was a significant section of the state of Florida that couldn’t contain itself, and with good reason. We have seen this player serve a dominant role for years. Even last year, Jackson posted 17.9 yards per reception, proving that he would be the perfect deep threat to play alongside Mike Evans.

It’s still not the same as seeing a player in person though, is it? Think about our own lives. We have all had the chance to witness great players live. These are players we saw on TV quite a bit, but finally got the chance to see live. As fans, it was something we always talked about, am I right?

The same can happen to players. Oh, players are aware of their colleagues around the league. They know who the top players are. They vote in the “Top 100” each year. But it is still different when you get to play with a guy.

The Bucs are starting to realize that when watching DeSean Jackson. Take a look at what Adam Humphries had to say about him (per Pewter Report):

"“I mean, how old is he?” Humphries said. “He runs so smooth, take the ball he caught yesterday (deep ball over Vernon Hargreaves) he makes it look so easy. It is a blessing what he has, the way he runs. It is just fun to watch.”"

Humphries was likely referencing this particular play:

They are certainly right about the fact that “D-Jax” is fast. He is fast and has made a career out of making explosive plays. His ability to stretch the field is going to open up the defense underneath for all Bucs weapons, including Humphries. Jameis Winston must be licking his chops.

Next: Winston preferred by experts

The players are figuring it out. They are learning how exciting things might very well be in 2017 for the Bucs.
