The Winston-Jackson connection
It may only be the preseason, but Jameis Winston is developing a nice rapport with Vincent Jackson. With Mike Evans expected to be out for the remainder of the preseason, Winston heavily leaned on V-Jax, especially after their first connection, going 26 yards and setting up the 19-yard touchdown run by Doug Martin.
Check out the 26-yard pass from Winston to Jackson right here.
After that completion, four of Winston’s next six passes went in Jackson’s direction. Unfortunately, the veteran wideout was able to haul in only one of those attempts for 12 yards.
While their chemistry and timing could still use some work, there is already a trust system in place between Jackson and Jameis. Even though the former Seminoles quarterback has developed a tendency to spread the ball around, he has also shown that he likes to look in the direction of his possession wide receiver.
For the fantasy football players out there, this may be something to keep in the back of your mind when it’s time to draft.
