Kolby Listenbee – WR – TCU

When you think speed receiver, you have to think Kolby Listenbee from Texas Christian University.  Listenbee is a speed demon who can burn a secondary and haul in deep passes from strong-armed quarterbacks.

For the Bucs, he presents a late round opportunity to bring on a player who may not be polished, but has the raw skills to add what their offense has been missing.

With more height than most receivers with his speed, Listenbee presents problems for defenders because he’s fast enough to burn them, and tall enough to get on top of them.  He has good hands, and will come down with more passes than not.

The down side is his slight frame and limited route tree.  He’s essentially a deep receiver with little else to his current repertoire.  He may not be an every play third receiver, but with coaching and maturing, he can turn into a regular slot option with the ability to keep the secondary honest.

Listenbee also brings some return experience to the table, and the Bucs could experiment with him in the special team’s role as they wait for him to grow into a more consistent receiver.

Scouts for all 32 NFL teams will be looking to watch him in the Combine’s 40-yard dash as he looks to break the all-time record set by running back Chris Johnson.

If there’s an offensive player to take a chance on, in what is expected to be a defense heavy draft, Listenbee is the guy.
