The Bucs will Take an Offensive Lineman on Day Three

Nothing makes an offense look better than a great offensive line.  An offense comes and goes with the line, no matter how good the skilled position players are.  We saw last season, with the quick development of players like Ali Marpet and Donovan Smith, how the skilled players can benefit.  Just look at the return to form of Doug Martin.  The offensive line played a significant role in his return to stardom.

However, I don’t see the Bucs making a move here prior to the third day of the draft.  Simply put, the team has bigger fish to fry.  The position of edge rusher, defensive back, and others will prove to be more important.  Jason Licht and company will look for a player on day three to bulk up the offensive line.

One player to look for, as our guy David Harrison wrote, is Shon Coleman out of Auburn.  At 35 1/8″ inches, he has the ideal arm length for a tackle, and the Bucs need one on the right side.  His draft profile sets him in the second round, but if he slips, look for the Bucs to take a shot.

Germain Ifedi is another guy to watch.  According to his draft profile believes a move to the inside would be in store but with 36″ arms, I could see him making a run for the spot at right tackle as well.
