Overall:

The Buccaneers defense left the year the way they entered it; on the bottom of the defensive unit pool.

While the team boasted a pair of consistent performers in Lavonte David and Kwon Alexander, they were unable to put together a defensive unit which could keep the attention of fantasy owners for longer than a week or two.

Heading into 2016 the team has overhauled the defense with names like Robert Ayers, Brent Grimes, Vernon Hargreaves III and Noah Spence.

David will be returning looking for another Pro-Bowl birth and Alexander will be entering his sophomore season as much less of a surprise this time around.

While Gerald McCoy may not churn out elite fantasy numbers, he’ll be a key to the success of the whole unit and a quiet influence to what the team can achieve.
