For the second straight week the Bucs defense surrendered four touchdowns to the opposing quarterback. This time however, the offense was unable to match the output and Tampa fell coming out of their bye week 31-30 in the Nation’s Capital.
In a tale of two halves the Buccaneers held a 24-7 lead heading into the half. Coming back out of the locker rooms the Redskins’ offense completely overwhelmed the Buccaneer defense and roared back with a 24 point half of their own.
To the defense’s credit a fumble was forced by defensive lineman Jacquies Smith and recovered by teammate Howard Jones for a touchdown.
The defensive unit finished in the top-10 of the fantasy rankings for their second straight game with a nine point output.
Two players tied with 15 to lead the way for the squad who had a massive let down on the field, but was not as disappointing in the fantasy world.
