More from The Pewter Plank

This is uncharted waters for Buccaneers fans. Well, maybe not uncharted, but it has certainly been a long time. It was several coaches ago that we even flirted with the playoffs like this. Feels good, am I right?

But first things first, we have some work to do. Sunday afternoon at RayJay is the opening of the season series with the always tough New Orleans Saints. Divisional matchups are always huge, and when they have Drew Brees throwing the passes, it will always be a tough test.

Let’s get right to the injuries. First, as always, for the Bucs:

Granted, it’s only one change, but it’s a good change for Bucs fans. Humphries returned to practice, albeit on a limited basis. He’s still in concussion protocol, but his seeing the field is a good sign that he is on the road to doing so on Sunday.

Now for the Saints:

It’s always an enjoyable experience when your opponent has players downgraded. When they are important factors, like Ingram and Unger, it makes it even better.
