The season is now behind us, so it is off to the 2017 NFL season. The Buccaneers, along with the rest of the NFL, are back to even at 0-0. Time to get back to the drawing board and prepare to make a run in 2017.
Make a run at what? Super Bowl 52 of course. Who is going to dethrone the New England Patriots as world champions? The time to start preparing is now.
What it is also time for is the early Super Bowl 52 odds. In a move that is excessively early, Vegas as already put down odds on who will win the Super Bowl next season.
According to My Top Sportsbooks, the Patriots are the favorites to win it all again at 7-1. Right behind them sit the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys at 10-1. So where to the Bucs sit?
The Bucs odds to win it all are 35-1. That puts them right in the middle of the league, sharing the same odds as the Houston Texans and the Arizona Cardinals. For a point of reference, it’s right behind the Tennessee Titans and the Cincinnati Bengals.
35-1 is the right spot for the Bucs, prior to knowing what the roster will look like. Basing it solely on the results of 2017, they have been placed on a par with a playoff team. At 9-7 and just missing the playoffs, these odds reflect a team on the rise but one that can’t be considered a favorite just yet. They are in the middle, and it makes sense.
What do you think? Is this the right spot for the Bucs to be set?
