Taylor Moton – Offensive Tackle, Western Michigan

When I looked at film of Corey Davis out of Western Michigan I couldn’t help but be drawn into the Broncos’ right offensive tackle, Taylor Moton.

The 6’5” offensive lineman could potentially fill a position of need for the Buccaneers, and would still allow them to keep Donovan Smith on the left side of the line while Moton joins Marpet on the right.

The offensive line for Tampa Bay was suspect at times due in part to a series of unfortunate injuries, but also due to the decline in veteran ability and lack of depth.

If Moton can’t come in and start right away, he’ll at least provide some valuable depth to help protect the franchise quarterback and pave the way for what many assume will be a brand new running back.

As far as draft position is concerned, he’s currently sitting somewhere around the mid-third round to early fourth round range.

When the Buccaneers pick in the third there may be too many more polished prospects available, but don’t be surprised to see the team jump back up into the early part of the fourth if he’s still available.
