Talking Buccaneers: Thoughts and analysis following the 2017 NFL Draft
In the week following the NFL Draft, we take a look at what the Buccaneers have done and how it may impact the upcoming 2017 season.
For the Buccaneers, it’s been one of the most impactful off-seasons we’ve seen in some time.
With two sure-fire impact players brought in with the signings of DeSean Jackson and Chris Baker, the team sent a clear message to the rest of the league they were ready to stake a claim to their return in the postseason.
Now, following the NFL Draft, the Bucs have brought in another playmaker for quarterback Jameis Winston to throw to in tight end O.J. Howard.

While some fans of the franchise were certainly disappointed when the team passed on Florida State running back Dalvin Cook, there’s no questioning the value Howard brings to the team.
With the amount of two tight end sets the team is looking to run, the combination of Cameron Brate and the new rookie should light a fire in the NFC South.
Joining us on this week’s episode are the Pewter Plank’s own Zach Sauers and the Pewter Report’s Trevor Sikkema.
Zach has been producing great pieces for the website for some time now, and has really contributed greatly to the pre-draft content we’ve been able to give you.
He’ll continue as we build up to the season, so be sure to check out his work and let him know your own thoughts as well.
Most of you already know Trevor Sikkema from the Pewter Report. The Chipotle enthusiast has been providing great insight since joining their site, and has since joined Mr. John Ledyard on the “Locked on NFL Draft” podcast airing daily.
Having these two on the show to talk Buccaneers football was a great experience, and you all should truly enjoy listening to what was said and how it all went down.
