The ten players that just missed out on the NFL top 100 was just released. Kwon Alexander was one of those players coming in at 109. What’s next for the Buccaneers linebacker?

Kwon Alexander wants to be the best. He plays with a speed and ferocity that the Buccaneers haven’t seen in the middle of the defense since Derrick Brooks. It is starting to get recognized by other NFL players but he’s not there quite yet. The NFL Top 100 players list is officially all released and Kwon missed the cut by nine. He is getting his name out there and soon enough he will make the official list.

One reason he’s grabbing attention is he is a tackling machine. Kwon finished with the fourth most tackles in the NFL at 145, and most solo tackles with 108. He was one of two players in the entire league with over 100 solo tackles. The other being New York Giants stud safety, Landon Collins at exactly 100. Collins was ranked 28th on the top 100 list. With five interceptions and four sacks Collins definitely had more splash plays than Alexander. If Kwon wants to get recognition he’s got to have more games like the Sunday Night showdown against the Dallas Cowboys where he had 21 tackles. He’ll get his chance to shine on HBO’s Hard Knocks this offseason he’ll just have to put it all together on the field.

As a fourth round pick the Bucs couldn’t be happier with the performance out of their third year linebacker. Kwon might be the one hardest on himself. He’s taken to Twitter calling out media members along with pumping up the fan base and himself whenever possible. He created a name for himself “LiTiRilla”, part lion, part tiger, part gorilla. If he keeps his head on straight he can only get better. He’s only 22 years old.

While the Bucs are not the most popular team in the league, Kwon Alexander has a chance to really make a name for himself this season. The spotlight of Hard Knocks and prime-time games against the Patriots and Falcons can really boost his NFL status. He needs to add some more sacks, turnovers, and splash plays to his repertoire and he’ll be flying up this list. Continuity with Mike Smith as his defensive coordinator will help boost him to the Top 100 next season, just wait.
