The Buccaneers fan-base’s excitement has been growing and growing since the off-season began.

When the team finished their 2016 season, there was hope for the future as the Buccaneers narrowly missed the playoffs.

After announcing defensive coordinator Mike Smith would be returning, the fans celebrated.

When it was finalized that DeSean Jackson was joining the squad in a summer dubbed, “Weapons for Winston”, there were rumblings of a playoff push once again.

Including New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.

Ok, maybe he’s not looking forward to them, as his exact words were,

"“That’s an extremely talented Tampa team that I think we all have to worry about.”"

Speaking live on NFL Network with Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk, the veteran quarterback spoke about how challenging the NFC South really is.

We all know by now how competitive the division is, and every game within it is either team’s to win. With other divisions in the NFL like the AFC’s eastern division, it’s good to see one with some parity and solid competition.

Faulk himself said he didn’t think any other division had a better group of quarterbacks than the NFC South, and in response, Brees said,

"“We got two of the last three MVPs, right, Cam Newton and Matt Ryan. And Jameis Winston continues to get better and better.”"

Solid praise from a future Hall of Fame quarterback for young Winston and the Bucs in general.

Camp is getting the hype train rolling even faster and HBO’s “Hard Knocks” is just around the corner.

This thing isn’t slowing down anytime soon Bucs fans.
