Will Jameis Winston‘s Passing Accuracy Proficiency Continue?

During Jameis’s first two seasons in the league he has a completion percentage of 59.6 (2015 – 58.3%, 2016 – 60.8%) with three total games over 70% completions (One 2015 – 72.4% Washington, two 2016 – 70% SF and 75% against Seattle), but so far in two games this preseason he has a 71% completion percentage by completing 30 of 42 passes for 295 yards but with no touchdowns or interceptions.

Throughout the first two games of the preseason Winston has a completion percentage that is 11.8 points higher than his career regular season completion percentage. Now I know its preseason and some of the teams did not play all of their starters (Jags were down top three corners) but it’s still impressive.

The offensive line after shifting some players around in the off season has been blocking quite well for him giving him plenty of time to go through his progressions and find the open man, and obviously that helps to improve his completion percentage. Also having more reliable weapons to throw the ball to doesn’t hurt either.
