Which Buccaneers practice squad member will be the first to see the field?

The question of who gets brought up first from the practice squad depends a lot on injuries and depth.

The Buccaneers are thin at running back – a position that gets injured a lot in the first place – especially with Doug Martin suspended. So, seeing Russell Hansbrough brought up at any point shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Riley Bullough showed some flashes throughout camp and preseason, and could get some action with the Buccaneers linebacker group being pretty thin behind Kwon Alexander and Lavonte David.

For me, the guy with the best shot to see action early is receiver Bobo Wilson.

Wilson has shown some promise as a kick returner, so if the Buccaneers get desperate they could call on him.

He was also able to reel in a big 40-yard catch in the fourth preseason game.

Wilson was unable to beat out Bernard Reedy for that final receiver spot on the 53-man roster.

The Buccaneers have a lot of receivers so the path to being brought up might require an injury, but Wilson in my opinion is the most promising receiver on the practice squad, and the one I’m keeping a close eye on if the Bucs special teams falls flat again.
