Buccaneers: Five players to watch versus Chicago
By Zach Sauers
FS- Chris Conte
In 2015 the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Head Coach Lovie Smith signed safety Chris Conte to a one year prove it deal. Conte was able to enter the Bucs system and immediately made an impact on the defensive side of the ball.

Through his three years in Tampa, Conte has been the scapegoat of the lowly Bucs passing defense, but Conte gained favor with the fans last year against his former team. Not only did Conte lead his team with seven total tackles, but also in the first quarter he was able to return a 20 yard pick six. Reference the image above.
Another learning year for Conte and the Bucs defense, along with adding play-makers such as TJ Ward and Chris Baker should allow the Bucs defensive backs to move freely on the back end of the defense. This also will allow more plays on the ball.
Conte seems to play with a chip on his shoulder when facing adversity and with another chance to prove his worth to his former team, watch for a big time game for number 23.
