Walking The Plank returns with episode 32 and very special guest Trevor Sikkema to discuss Jameis Winston, the Buccaneers’ play calling, Vernon Hargreaves, and preview the Bills game.

When it comes to a conversation as controversial as whether or not Jameis Winston is a franchise quarterback or not, it’s time that we call in the big guns – which is fitting since episode 32 is aptly called the Michael Pittman episode. David Harrison and I had to have Trevor Sikkema of the Pewter Report join us to weigh in on the topic that stirred such a backlash earlier this week when our writer Sean Eck suggested Winston may not be the guy. I, on the other hand, decided to put my opinion out there to represent the other side of the debate upon the suggestion of a respected friend and colleague.

I was adamant about wanting Trevor on because he had some interesting insights on taking offensive play calling off the plate of head coach Dirk Koetter and passing it over to offensive coordinator Todd Monken. As Trevor points out, the numbers Monken’s offenses put up in college may just shock you.

The three of us then get into Vernon Hargreaves‘ struggles and what may be contributing to his apparent regression, causing fans – and coaches – to question his ability as a player in the league. Hargreaves’ struggle are infuriating and it’s time he gets them cleaned up because, at the end of the day, it falls on him – not just the coaching.

Finally, David and I dive in to a quick preview of the Bills game, name our predictive offensive and defensive players of the game, and our score predictions.
