Speaking of revenge games… The Buccaneers have someone who would like one of their own. Ryan Fitzpatrick will start at quarterback for Tampa Bay in place of the injured Jameis Winston.

The thirteenth-year veteran spent 2015 and 2016 with the Jets, throwing for a combined 6,615 yards and 43 touchdowns to 32 interceptions. He has seen some mop-up action throughout this season, but this is now his team for at least the next few weeks.
Fitzpatrick has plenty of weapons to work with this Sunday, even with top target Mike Evans out of the lineup. He is definitely capable of leading an offense, but is also prone to turning the ball over. In his career, he has 170 touchdown passes to 135 interceptions. That’s an alarming ratio, but Winston of course has a tendency to turn the ball over as well. Fitzpatrick’s ceiling is much lower than Winston’s, obviously, but the offense has plenty of talent for him to work with while he is the one taking snaps.

The New York defense is entering Sunday’s game with a ton of swagger. Just search #JetsDanceToAnything on Twitter and you’ll see what I’m talking about. They will want to get at their former mate just as much as he wants to beat them. Sunday will be an interesting matchup between former teammates. It’s McCown against the Bucs and Fitzpatrick against the Jets. Who will come away with the upper hand?
