Samaje Perine $ 5,000

This will be a favorite pick this week as he is all but guaranteed to be a three-down back against the Giants and one of the worst defenses in the league.  They are giving up 132.7 yards-per-game to opposing teams on the ground for 30th in the league and 263.9 yards-per-game in the air for 29th, which puts them overall as the next to last team in the league averaging almost 400 yards-per-game against with 396.6.

Last week, Perine had somewhat of a coming out party after the injury to Chris Thompson as he has 23 rushing attempts for 117-yards and a touchdown against the Saints.

This week he should see the same, if not more, touches and might have the highest ceiling of any running back in the league.

While we only have a small sample size of what Perine can do, with a price tag of just $5,000 he is a must start this week on the Draft Kings daily fantasy format.

Watch for Perine to gash the giants for 150-yards and his first two touchdown game.

Joe Mixon $4,400

More from The Pewter Plank

Mixon is another guy who is priced too low for his match-up this week.  While the Browns are still winless, they have been relatively decent on the defensive side of the ball.

The Browns are sixth in the league at stopping the rush, allowing only 91.7 yards-per-game to opposing running backs, but are twelfth in allowing them to score.

This means inside the red zone they are susceptible to the rush and Mixon should get those opportunities this weekend.

The rookie leads the Bengals backfield in touches with 127 and 20 of them coming this past week against Denver.

Cincinnati has finally started to give Mixon the opportunities he deserves in this offense.  Watch for him to get 20+ touches again en route to his first 100-yard rushing game of the season as well as his first multi-touchdown effort.

LeVeon Bell $9,200

Bell is the highest priced running back on Draft Kings this weekend and for a good reason.  He is averaging 20.6 fantasy points-per-game and gets the Packers at home, who are ranked 22nd in the league at giving up points to opposing running backs.  Bell is closing in on another 1,000+ yard season as he only needs 124-yards to get there.

Bell showed last week while he only received twelve carries, he has tremendous value as he scored 19.3 points.  Only once in his nine games this season has Bell recorded less than thirteen points in a game.

While the Packers have been decent at stopping opposing running backs allowing only 105.7 yards on the ground, Bell is genuinely one of the elite backs in today’s NFL and needs to be played this week.

Watch for Bell to go for a monster day with over 200-yards combined on the ground and through the air with at least two touchdowns.
