Drew Brees $6,500

With 69,961 career passing yards he only needs 39 yards to join Brett Favre (71,838) and Peyton Manning (71,940) as the only players in NFL history with at least 70,000 career passing yards. Brees is also only 150 yards away from another 4,000 yard passing yard season.

It is a down year for Brees as far as touchdowns are concerned, but he has thrown multi-touchdowns in each of his last two contests including the last meeting against the Falcons. In the previous matchup, he threw for 271 yards and a pair of scores.

This week at home he should exceed those numbers.  Watch for Brees to go big as he throws for 350+ yards and three scores.

Drew Stanton $4,500

Aside from a week, seven blowout loss to the Rams Stanton hasn’t been that bad in his starts this year averaging 15.1 points-per-game.  This week he gets a home game against one of the leagues worst defenses.  The Giants are 31st in passing yards per game, 32nd in total yards per game, and 31st in total points scored against per game.  While the Cardinals are depleted, they still have Larry Fitzgerald, and against such a weak defense at this price, he is a great spot start.

While Stanton isn’t a big name player, he could still win you some money this week, and that’s what this is all about.  Look for him to throw for over 300 yards and at least two touchdowns.
