The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced their upcoming off-season schedule.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently preparing for the draft, as are 31 other NFL teams. Beyond that, there is plenty of work to be done.

The Buccaneers announced Monday what their upcoming off-season schedule will look like before players get another month off in the summer prior to training camp and pre-season. The Bucs will kick things off with conditioning in a few weeks before the NFL draft and then it will be full steam ahead.

Below are the dates and schedule for the Buccaneers;

Off-Season Conditioning – Begins April 16

More from Bucs News

NFL Draft – April 26-28

Rookie Mini-Camp – May 11-13

OTA Practices – May 22 – June 7

Mandatory Mini-Camp – June 12-14

There will be plenty of press conferences during those times for Buccaneers fans to stream live via Buccaneers.com, Facebook, or Twitter while they stay up to date on the latest.

The most intriguing is always OTAs as players are not required to be there. Most do show up, but there are always the small handful of players that miss due to having plans or working out with personal trainers. DeSean Jackson was one of those cases last season.

The shape of the roster is truly beginning to change – on paper, it’s certainly for the better – and the draft will continue to a affect that.

One of the things Bucs fans will really want to keep an eye on is rookie mini-camp. Jason Licht and his scout team have been very good about tracking down and signing undrafted players that, in turn, become contributors to the team.

The prime examples of this are of course Cameron Brate and Adam Humphries. You can also point to Javien Elliott, Antony Auclair, Peyton Barber, Riley Bullough, Alan Cross, Adarius Glanton, Cameron Lynch, and Freddie Martino to name just a handful of undrafted players.

Rookie mini-camp will bring fans a look at the next diamond in the rough that will inevitably make the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ initial 53-man roster come August. As I’ve said before, always keep in mind that the off-season – free agency, the draft, the next wave of free agency, undrafted rookies – is all a symphony. It has to work together for the song to sound just right. So any position you feel may not be addressed, it will be by time kickoff weekend arrives.
