The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have already done plenty in the 2018 NFL Draft. To be honest, the team could walk away right now and still call this year’s selection meeting a resounding success.

Every critical area of need has been addressed, and each player will look to make a first-year impact for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

So, what can we expect on day three? Honestly? Nothing. Expect nothing and just enjoy the work your team and general manager is putting in to this.

But, we’re going to try and look at some names we might see come off the board to Tampa. The Bucs currently have the 117th, 144th and 202nd picks remaining. Those come in rounds four, five and six respectively.

Safety and wide receiver are likely areas of interest, and you can never have too many pass rushers.

Here are some guys to watch. In no particular order.

Florida State Defensive End, Josh Sweat

Sweat has dropped down the board further than I ever expected. I can’t call it a huge surprise as he’s a very raw prospect with athletic talent lacking polish.

The third day of the draft is when you take those guys. Adding him to the current defensive depth chart would prevent Mike Smith from having to play him more than he’s prepared to, but allows him to bring him in for specific situations.

Special teams is also a place where we could see Sweat have an impact. I seem to remember another defensive player drafted in the fourth who was only expected to have special teams contributions. He did alright.

Kwon. It was Kwon Alexander.

Penn State Safety, Marcus Allen

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could still use a safety in this class. Currently, there are four on roster as Justin Evans and Chris Conte are the early favorites to start. Keith Tandy and Isaiah Johnson would then be slatted for depth.

Allen is a strong safety if ever there was one, and if he added some functional weight he may even become a linebacker at some point.

Fans would like his aggressive style and he’d be good for at least a couple highlight hits even as a rookie.

Central Florida Linebacker, Shaquem Griffin

Some speculation arose from Kendall Beckwith’s injury the Bucs might draft a linebacker. Some even went ahead and mocked a linebacker to the team in the first round.

Obviously the team isn’t as worried about it as those mock drafters were, but there’s still a need for depth at the position.

I’m not doing Shaquem Griffin any favors here, and this is no charity. The man can flat-out play.

Penn State Wide Receiver, DaeSean Hamilton

The second player on this list from Penn State had to be on here simply because Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin told us earlier this off-season this man was going to be a solid pro.

Godwin credited Hamilton with being a mentor when he arrived to Penn State. Hamilton would be a welcomed addition to the receiver room for sure, and could also provide some important depth as the team gets ready for life after DeSean Jackson and face a big decision in 2019 with Adam Humphries.

Richmond Quarterback, Kyle Lauletta

Ryan Fitzpatrick is not the back-up of the future for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Ryan Griffin simply isn’t getting the kind of support a team gives a guy they believe is a legitimate back-up.

So, could the Bucs look for a new project to develop? Sure.

Lauletta impressed during the Senior Bowl game, and while it’s great he did so, he isn’t going to be setting the NFL on fire any time soon.

However, given a year or two on the practice squad to learn from Jameis Winston and Fitzpatrick and even Griffin, will go a long way as Lualetta continues to develop his physical and mental abilities.
