Jameis Winston: Player of the game

Winston has been at the center of the national conversation this week. NFL pundits from all over the country urged Tampa Bay to trade for Teddy Bridgewater. While others debated between him and Marcus Mariota, trying to decide between the two quarterbacks.

The former number one overall pick displayed why he is the Buccaneers starting quarterback. He shredded the Tennessee defense, completing 72 percent of his passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns.

After an offseason full of criticism, it was nice to see Winston shake off the distractions and put together a terrific performance on the field. It was a friendly reminder of how successful Winston can be with time in the pocket and talented weapons at his disposal.

M.J. Stewart does it again

With Carlton Davis and Vernon Hargreaves sitting out with injuries, M.J. Stewart made his mark. Stewart did his best Charles Tillman impersonation by forcing two fumbles.

Although he suffered an injury and wasn’t able to play in the second half, Stewart’s stock has continued to rise.

He played at both the inside and outside corner positions, giving coaches even more film to dissect. It would appear that his versatility will land him the fourth cornerback role at the very least.
