DeSean Jackson out, Buccaneers promote Bobo Wilson
By Ryan Doyle
The Buccaneers made a pair of moves at wide receiver and released their final injury report for their Week 13 game.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without wideout DeSean Jackson for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.
Jackson was dealing with a hand injury this week and was a limited participant in every practice. However, he didn’t show enough for the Bucs to give him the green light to play this week.
Jackson has cooled off since his scorching hot start to the 2018 season. He was targeted eight times last week, but only caught three passes for 19 yards.

In all, Jackson’s put together a nice season. He has already caught 40 passes for 750 yards and four touchdowns.
In a corresponding move, the Bucs promoted wide receiver Bobo Wilson from the practice squad. Wilson spent some time on the active roster in 2017, where he caught a lone touchdown pass. Aside from an emergency receiving option, Wilson could be a contributor on special teams.
The news of Jackson’s status came in the final injury report for the Bucs Week 13 matchup. Jackson won’t be the only Buccaneer forced to miss the game due to injury.
Rookie defensive backs Carlton Davis and M.J. Stewart have been ruled out. Stewart has been dealing with injuries for the past few weeks. Davis exited last week’s game late.
Tackle Demar Dotson is also in danger of missing the contest. He is listed as “doubtful,” and swing tackles Mike Liedtke or Leonard Wester will replace him.
Both Lavonte David and Justin Evans are listed as questionable but put in full participation for Friday’s practice, which bodes well for their chances on Sunday.
Cornerback Brent Grimes landed on the report late in the week and is questionable. Hopefully, he can suit up, or the Bucs will be down three starting cornerbacks.
For Carolina, the only player with an injury designation is wideout Devin Funchess, who is questionable.
