Free agency has slowed down, the draft has concluded, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to have concluded adding players. Who is a lock to make the roster?

We are now in the heart of the offseason and rookie minicamp has been completed and OTAs are underway. Outside of a few potential pieces still being moved around, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look set moving forward into training camp.

Ahead of training camp, who is safe to make the roster, who is on the bubble, and who is doubtful to make the roster? This article seeks to separate players based on how hot their seat is to make the Buccaneers’ final 53 man roster at the end of training camp.

The roster here is broken down into five categories: locks, probable, on the bubble (trending up), on the bubble (trending down), and doubtful. Here are the definitions of each category:

Lock: These players are all but guaranteed to be on the roster on opening day barring something unforeseen.

Probable: There is a great probability they will be on the final 53 man roster, but a chance remains they could end up elsewhere outside of Tampa Bay.

On the Bubble (trending up): These players are fighting for a roster spot, but are heading in the right direction towards making the team.

On the Bubble (trending down): These players are fighting for a roster spot, but heading in the wrong direction towards getting the axe.

Doubtful: The chances are slim these players land on the final 53 man roster, but there is still a chance for them to make a splash in camp. More than likely a camp body.
